Gestational diabetes & insulin .. ?

Every now and again is ok, but not all the time. I am not sure of the exact level of blood sugar before you are given insulin, but before they got that high you would be put on medication to see if that would work, like metformin or similar. If you are keeping your blood sugars under control with diet alone, a once off treat wont blow it out of proportion, but you know what you have to do to keep your blood sugars in check.
