MLA formatted essay.......?
MLA doesn't specify on the number of paragraphs. It just tells you how you should set up your paper (ie: double space, header, title, paragraph indention, etc). You should be able to write as many paragraphs as you'd like. A good rule of thumb would be 5 for the introduction (which should be about 3-4 sentences with a topic sentence at the end), the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd body paragraphs (these are where you get your "meat" of your paper. You defend your topic sentence, which should include 3 examples. Each paragraph is the explanation of a different example. These should actually be around 8 sentences if you're doing the Jane Shafford -sp- method, but I usually hit around 6-7. I do enough to get the information that I need down), and the conclusion paper (which is a rewording of your topic sentence and a BAM way to end your paper. This should be a couple of sentences). Does this help?
