I love my fish...but I'm bored of their tanks...are there any creative ideas for 10 gallon tanks?

Live plants would be an excellent addition to all but the goldfish tank (they might eat them). Java fern is especially good for bettas. I wouldn't add anything that's not aquarium safe to your tank, some paints and materials give off toxins.
