Long Fin Red Minor Tetra acting strange?

My Long Fin Red Minor Tetra is acting nervous or something like he is hyperventilating or having a seizure. Or maybe like he's coughing over and over again. I just bought him and some other fish to accompany my fish already living in the tank. Is this normal? Do you think he might die?
