How many U.S. States would the average Brit know?

Not very many i think, to tell the truth. Me personally, i'm 95% confident i would be able to name all 50 and about 75% confident i could mark them all on a map of the US. From Washington to Florida, California to Maine. BUT...how many British counties could the average American name?
