My 1998 plymouth voyager is boiling water from the resoviour. car runs hot please help.?

1998 plymouth voyager is boiling water from water resovier causing the engine to heat up and the car will not crank until it cools off. replaced thermostat. panel lights won't come on. makes a clicking sound. even added water and it just leaves away quickly causing it to overheat. refilled radiator problem continues.
